Originally from Boston, Christine Hunschofsky holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University and an MBA from Babson College.  Before becoming Mayor, she spent four years as a Parkland City Commissioner, seven years on the city’s Education Advisory Board and currently serves as a member of the Broward League of Cities School and Community Public Safety Task Force.  She is married with two children.


Christine was first elected Mayor of Parkland in 2016 and served in the position during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.  Under her leadership, her city has won numerous awards including the best city in the state to raise a family. 


Christine testified at the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force on the need for reforms before the United State House of Representatives.  She is a proud and active Democrat who has worked to help elect numerous good Democrats including campaigning throughout the country for a presidential candidate. 


Christine is running for State House to continue to make a difference for us.
